ADIF to Excel to ADIF Converter
Here is my first project
I want to present:
ADIF to Excel to
ADIF Converter V0.98c 20110326 -> adif2xls2adif_v0.98c.xls
ADIF to Excel to ADIF Converter
V0.98b 20110326 -> adif2xls2adif_v0.98d.xlsm
As I could not find a comparable tool on the web, I developed 2 little VBA
scripts.
Features:
1) Converting ADIF Logbook to Excel
2) Converting Excel to ADIF Format
How to use:
Convert to Excel
1) Select and/or Add preferred sequence of Adif-fields
below textbox if wished
2) Press Arrow "To Excel" -> New tab in workbook
Convert to ADIF
1) Press Arrow "To ADIF" to convert last Log (last tab in workbook)
!) An existing File will be replaced by the new Log without asking
&) In case the date is still in Excel format like "January 1, 2020" it needs to be converted to ADIF text format first "20200101". Best is the text function =Text(A2;"JJJJMMDD").
Background:
This tool works together with any logbook that is able to export and import
ADIF logs.
However I'm using Logger32 by K4CY since 2005. ( http://www.logger32.net/ )
A really great logbook program. Unfortunately it has an important
disadvantage: there is no bulk editing function, i.e. I can’t mark several
entries and modify them in one go. This is necessary from time to time for
example after a contest when I need to update QSL_sent
and QSLSDATE.
1.
I export my logbook out of Logger32 to ADIF
2.
Convert it to Excel
3.
Edit the entries
4.
Convert back to ADIF
5.
Import to Logger32
This might look quite complicated, however still better than editing 100+
entries manually.
Probably there are more Logger32 users out there who liked to have an
bulk-editing feature as well and drop a feature request in Bob’s Forum
(Author von Logger32) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hamlogger/
Up to then I wish you much fun and success with this little tool.
I would be happy to get some feedback from you. Especially as I could not
perform any Beta testing before. Thanks to user feedback first bugs could be
eliminated.
