Historical
In my start time as a radio amateur 1978 I had the joint user call signal
DM5RWN at the university in Karx Marx Stadt
(today TU Chemnitz). Our VHF Contestgruppe DM5WN had the Pöhlberg
(832m JO60MN) in Annaberg as domicile.
The club station became 1978/79 GDR master within the VHF range (at
the same time at place 1 DM3KH) sees radio amateur 1979/10/513.
The IARU VHF Contest and two GDR VHF Contests were rated.
Members of the crew were beside coworkers of the university changing
students. Some photos from this time are
Ric, DL2SD ex DM7NN
(see below). On the observation tower we worked with a homebrew Transceiver
of the club stat ion leader
Harald, DL2EWN ex Y25WN, by hand turned 10 element Yagi and 100 W a
self's building tube output stage.
A OM from the Contestcrew at that time, which is active today also
in the OV-S54, is Klaus, DL1JCI ex DM5SWN.

With this self's building dish of 2,2m I prepared 1978 for the state security service headache and months-long monitoring.
I experimented at that time also with a 3cm-FM-receiver with a Gunndiode.
