...I gained. On this site, you can find the Awards I gained with my station...

1. QRP-DXCC

To achieve this award, you have to declare that you had contact with at least 100 DXCC-Entities using 5 Watt or less of output power. Unlike for “normal” DXCC-Application, you don’t need to have your QSL-Cards checked. It’s a question of honour that you don’t state any contacts you didn’t make. But on the other hand, it’s quite difficult to achieve the contacts. There are many entities, you can’t work very often in QRP (which are no problem with QRO). If you got the “luck”, not to get a card, you couldn’t use this contact. Anyway, I’m proud of having achieved the QRP-DXCC

2. Second Place in the QRP class in Germany for CQ WPX Contest 2007

OK, not exactly an award, but in my opinion nevertheless a big achievement. The CQ WPX Contest is one of the biggest international competitions for ham radio operators. It’s one of my most favourite contests because due to the fact that my call was issued to operators without having proved morse skills. You can see it on the prefix of the call sign. Thus my call sign prefix is pretty rare in CW. And this prefix counts as multiplier in the WPX contest. Hence I’m a searched station in WPX, that nearly compensates the difference between my 5W and the common 100W. Last year, I reached the second place among all German QRP-stations that participated.
