German Amateur-Radio-Station

My Name is Raimund and i live in Augsburg / Bavaria, in south Germany Link. My Grid-Square is JN58LJ.
I got my Amateur-Radio-Licence in 1980, when i was 17 Years old. From that time, i made contacts over 13 different Amateur-Radio-Satellites, the International Space-Station ISS, the russian Space-Station MIR and Space-Shuttles and do a lot of VHF-/UHF-DXing on 144 MHz-Band in SSB over Sporadic-E, Aurora, Meteor-Scatter and some reflections on the Moon (EME)  Link.
Since 2003 i'm active on Shortwave, mostly from my Car Link .
I still have a lot of fun making new contacts all over the world.

One World - one Language...    Amateur-Radio
....you don't know what Amateur-Radio is - look here  LINK

VHF-/UHF-DXing is my Live

During the last 30 Years i had contacts with 51 DXCC-Countries on 144 MHz, using no Repeaters or Satellites. That contacts i made only via naturally Reflections over Meteors, Troposphere, Nordic-Lights and three over the Moon.
You can listen to some of my MP3-recordings here Link
By the way, i do not more then 100 W Power on 144 MHz in the beginning, now not more than 250 W with not more than a 9 Element Yagi-Antenna. I collect Grid-Squares  Link on 144 MHz, so i could count 236 Squares Link until now.

Mobile-Operating on Shortwave

When i got the permit to operate on Shortwave in 2003, i started testing different Antennas on my car.

  • QRP / Antenna Test
  • Grossraum-Mobilwettbewerb

Other Hobbies

My second Hobby is Geocaching since 2003. This one is good for getting out of the Shack to reduce my overweight my wife said... Link
