HAM-Job

Yes indeed. It's possible to do a ham-job.

I am the chairman of our local radio club in Bielefeld, 147 members. All the local clubs do have a steering committee, responsible for organisation, cash management, QSLing, regional planning, steering of local trainings on techniques and law, contest and ARDF scheduling and so on. The steering committee doing teamwork for all these local activities.

Like everywhere without active members all are hollow words . I am happy being the chairman of an active radio club.

I have to direct our monthly club meeting and guiding the steering committee in all processes.

Furthermore the local clubs of a wide area form for a district.

I represent the interests of our local club in the district meetings of the district N -"Westfalen Nord!"-

There are 26 districts all over Germany.

Each district is managed by a chairman and a steering committee with similar responsibilities like the chairman of a local club, just one step up.

I am also the chairman of the district N -"Westfalen Nord!"- Conventions. 2750 members in the district today. So I have to represent the interests of our local clubs and the results of the district conventions.

The entire district chairmen are member in the German "Amateurrat". The "Amateurrat" is the Executive Committee of the German national radio club DARC e.V.

Being a radio ham can be a job!
