Being a radio amateur since 1986, I am an enthusiastic CW (morse telegraphy) operator and this has been one of my favourite modes. Beside having conversations with radio amateurs all around the world, I am also interested in Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF), and regularly take part in national and international Fox
Hunting
competitions. Further information and dates about ARDF activities in Germany can be found here.

My QTH Landau/Pfalz is located about 100 miles south of the district capital city Mainz. Landau is a university town (since 1990) and located in the
district of southern Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The town has a
long-standing cultural centre, and a market and shopping town, surrounded by
vineyards and wine-growing villages of the Palatinate wine region. Landau lies
east of the Palatinate forest (Pfälzer Wald), Europe's largest contiguous forest, direct on
the German Wine Route (Deutsche Weinstrasse), which makes it attractive for tourists. More details can be found at http://www.landau.de
