Technical datas of DM3ML :
Born in June
1940.
Married with Jutta, DG2DYL. Our son Erik was born 1966. Finished my
studies
at the Dresden University of Technology as an engineer for high
frequency
in 1964. Got my first amateur radio licence as DM3NML in 1960 as
operator
at the university clubstation DM3ML. From 1962 till 1964 got the
licence
as station leader DM3ML. Built my own station under the callsign DM2BUL
starting in 1962. This callsign changed to Y22UL in 1980 and to DL2DUL
in 1991. Used the possibility to ask for an oldtimer call in 1998 and
changed
my call back to DM3ML. Hope to stay with this call the rest of my
amateur
life. I'm still active member of the university clubstation signing now
DL0TUD (ex DM3KML (founded 1956), DM3ML (1959-1979), Y41ZL (1980-1991),
now DL0TUD). Working from 80mtrs to 70cm at home and 2m/70cm/23cm and
3cm
portable. Using CW, SSB and nearly all digimodes for radioteletyping.
Interested
in DX, satellite operation and languages. Have done a lot of work in
homebrew
equipment but changed more to self bought gear, but still busy with
soldering.
Latest projects : a 14 ele spiderbeam in the family garden
outside, a PA
with
2 Watt for 10 GHz and QRV on 23cm.
My Station and my
computer are completly wired and connected and every new ham program
found
will be tested.
That's DM3ML, Eike (Ike) in the operating position and the equipment behind :

This are my antennas with a gray winter sky behind (R7 vertical, 3ele A3S, 80m dipole, 2m/70cm-SAT+Tropo) :
>>> the pictures are valid until
Sept 2002 > I changed the QTH and the pictures have changed >
look to the german site
>>> and the notes on the bottom of this side

but in the early spring the antennas look from the other side as :

Thats my radio
working
place loacted in the former small nursery using a writing cabinet. My
equipment
contains from left to right : a IC-821H for satellite traffic and
packet
radio, digimode controllers PTC-IIe for 9k6 packet and PTC-2 for
digimodes
and 1k2 packet, IC-746 for shortwave and 2m DX, G-650 rotor
controller,
a TM-V7 (blue wonder) for FM local contacts and 1k2 packet traffic.

At Oct 10th 2002 I changed my QTH. At the new QTH my antennas are looking not so great and there ís only one tube through the roof. I'm waiting for Sinter Claas and will take new photos and put them on this website. But the station itself looks as before.
