Norwegian Amateur Radio Beacons |
LA0BY, last updated 14.08.2011 |
The latest list of Norwegian radio beacons is maintained by the NRRL Beacon Manager. It can now by downloaded as Excel file from this site. Contact details for the beacon keepers are also provided, just in case you want to alert the keeper in case of reception (or for some other reason).
LA6IM maintains some nice maps that indicate the beacon locations.

Planning to set up a beacon yourself?
The technical parameters and location must support the purpose that beacon shall serve. Are there any other beacons nearby that may already cover the need? Please consider if you will be able to keep the beacon operational for many years (24 hours a day, all year round). Do you have the site owner’s approval and agreement on electricity costs? If your concept seems sound it may be the time to discuss your plans with the national Beacon Manager.
