Special radio activities by LA0BY LA0BY, last updated 16.08.2009
The picture shows my portable setup for 144 MHz as normally used from hilltop locations. It consists of 2 x 9-ele Yagis (modified Vårgårda) mounted on a telescopic aluminium mast. |

Upcoming: September Contest (06./07.09.2009) on 144 MHz
Hope to be on from JO59IX for the contest, at least on one of the days (probably Sunday, but depending on condx). Equipment will be as usual the IC821H, 180 W PA and 2 x 9-ele-yagi. I can be reached by sms to +47-90114432. I will probably mostly listen around and search for DX, perhaps call on 144,075 MHz in CW.
Note on my callsign when operating in Norway
In Norway we are not required to use CALL/p for temporary hilltop operations. From May 2002 I will therefore use only LA0BY when operating from JO59 square. If you hear LA0BY/p I will be operating from another square than JO59.
Below you find some reports on particular activities.
